Project 365 – Week 16

Hi there! So, it’s not Sunday. *sigh* I’m a couple days late getting my weekly project 365 update done, but better late than never, right?

Week 16 came and went. Seems like time is just flying by. It’s the end of the school year for the kids, the end of a high school career for my oldest daughter and the start of lots of good stuff for my husband and I as we are continuing to plan our trip to Honduras this summer! Much is going on around the Brown house, that’s for sure.

For that reason, I will admit I was less than creative with my daily photos. I did, however, manage to still accomplish a photo a day so that makes me happy nonetheless.

These photos are just a peek at what I’ve spent some time on the last week. Enjoy!

Day 103: Today’s CY365 prompt was opposite colors. With time being so short for shooting this week, I opted to grab a quick shot of one of my journals and pencil. I was going for the purple/yellow contrast but realized there’s a sweet addition of B&W as well. 🙂

Day 104: The whole week’s theme (thru Sat night anyway) was color. Today’s prompt was specifically blue. This flower is very special to me. It’s a sapphire-dipped rose (supposedly a real rose underneath) that my husband bought for me several years ago. ❤

Day 105: Can you guess what today’s Capture Your 365 prompt was? In the Air. Since there was no soccer practice today, I had my son go out into the backyard and do some practicing on his own so I could get a shot. And! This turned out an absolutely hilarious series of photos that I will cherish forever! So many of the ball bouncing off his forehead, landing on his face, etc. LOL! Good times.

Day 106:  This full-frame shot of my youngest daughter was taken with my phone, inside of our living room, at about 8PM. I had not even picked up my camera today nor thought about the daily prompt. Honestly, I just wanted to have a photo for today and what better subject than my beautiful girl?

Day 107: Seeing these beautiful blooms outside my kitchen window started today off with a fresh motivation to shoot! I was super thankful for a brief spot of sunshine before the rainy day moved in. I adore springtime in Ohio. Many of the trees bloom gorgeous white, pink and lavender flowers before turning green and it’s definitely worth photographing. What you don’t see in this photo are the mass of bees that were all abuzz over these blooms!

Day 108: This is Saturday night. After a long day of shopping with my oldest daughter for prom shoes and graduation dress/shoes, I ended up spending the evening mostly alone. My husband was out playing golf, three of the kids were at a movie night and it was just my oldest daughter and I at home. She spent most of the evening in her room (as teenagers do!). After eating a pathetic take out dinner, I realized I still needed a shot for the day. The CY365 prompt was “collection,” so I stretched it a bit and made this a collection of my pathetic dinner remains…lol! Taken with my phone.

This photo was selected as a Capture Your 365 Photo of the Day for April 18, 2015!

Day 109: Today started a new week of prompts for which the main theme is “symmetry.” Honestly, this photo is so boring, I almost didn’t share it. But, it is what it is. This was my super-lazy-day attempt at finding some symmetry around my house. You know how hard it is to photograph glass with enough light to capture it but still not cause a reflection? It was a little difficult.

So there is my last week of photos. Maybe this week, I’ll find time for a little more creativity! Thanks for stopping by. Have a fantastic week. 🙂
