Project 365 – Day 57

Almost Friday! Yay! I don’t really know what to say about this week other than it’s been kinda blah…nothing exciting. We had a couple more snow days/delays. I have been slacking at keeping my blog updated w/my daily photos, but I will try to catch up today. For now, I have today’s POTD…

I had some free time this morning and the morning light is always the best time to get photos in my house. It didn’t take long for one of my MOST favorite scriptures to come to mind for today’s Capture Your 365 photo prompt: Engaged: Committed | Bound | Ringed.

I am fully committed to Jesus and this scripture always, always, always reminds me of His great love for us. ❤

Nikon D3300, 50mm @ f/3.5, 1/500, ISO 100

I first tried this with a simple DOF with window lighting, but then I saw this beam of sunshine coming through the living room window that landed right on the arm of the couch. I had to give it a shot! I had to put the tripod on the couch to get close enough with the 50mm and when I did, the tripod leg created this shadow across the side of the Bible. I almost moved it, but when I looked through the viewfinder, I LOVED IT! Light and shadow contrasts bring a mood all their own to a photo and this one made me happy. 🙂

The full verses read:

“And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the Lord.” (Hosea 2:19-20)

I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the week. I’m definitely looking forward to getting out of the house this weekend! So over winter.

Thanks for stopping by.
