Project 365 – Day 26

Happy Monday friends! At least, I hope it was a happy Monday for you. It was a good day around the Brown house. The kids were all home for a snow day today so, as you can imagine, there wasn’t a quiet moment. Until now… *sigh* when everyone is in bed and I have a few minutes of silence.

I was able to get some shots in today, despite it being a busy Monday.

I’m going to try to stick to the true format of a Project 365 with only choosing ONE photo a day. However, I will still share my other photos on my Facebook, Flickr & Google+ accounts. I’m sure I’ll post one or two here as well since I just love sharing!
Today’s Project 365 photo was in line with the Capture Your 365 prompt: Move (motion). I bribed miss Shelby to go dance in the snow for a minute so I could grab a couple shots of her in her favorite dress. That thing spins beautifully! It took a few tries, but we managed to get some good shots despite the freezing cold. I love her wild hair in this one.

We had a portrait challenge for this week in another group and I knew right away where I wanted to do it. My dining room. There’s a great set of bay windows that gives a nice, soft light for shooting. I used my handy-dandy white foam board opposite the window to reflect a little light back onto my niece’s face to lighten some of the shadow. I think it turned out pretty good. Although, I was torn between color or B&W. But in the end, color won out!

I was happy with the photos I took today and can’t wait to get some more practice in with the new camera!
Thanks for stopping by! See ya tomorrow.
