Project 365 – Day 19

Did you survive the Monday blues? I have to admit, yesterday wasn’t too bad around here for a Monday. I woke up in a good mood, spent some time in the Word and prayer, and then headed out to grab a couple shots before work. The kids were all home for the MLK Jr. Day so the house didn’t have a quiet moment.

Here are a few shots from my day…

I headed back down to the river to see what I could get in the daytime. It’s definitely less romantic and peaceful during the day. I got a few of the water, but as I was leaving I looked up and the black lamp posts caught my attention. I thought they looked so great against the clear blue sky and light bridge. So this was my first for day 19.
I love the lines and contrasting colors!
Christian was my model for the CY365 prompt for today: White Space. The only thing that kept coming to my mind was this Christmas tree that he insists on making his hat every time we take it out of the box. As you can imagine, he was more than happy to get it and pose for me. Although, with that face, you wouldn’t know it…lol! This shot is so quirky, I think it fits his personality perfectly!

At the end of the night I decided to tackle the chore of minimizing the bookshelf in the living room. It seems to have become a landing place for all kinds of stuff. I also found a couple great stackable crates at Walmart on clearance to store my photo gear (that is quickly accumulating). Feeling the need to get organized! Well, as I was clearing out books and junk, I looked up to see Shelby and Heaven cuddled up on the couch reading. It was too sweet to not take a picture! They are both learning to read, so they were helping each other along. I cannot believe how fast they’re learning!
The girls are learning to read. ❤
I love my photos for today. Just another little memory of this day in our lives. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
